Doula
Shelly brings over a decade of experience walking alongside mothers and families through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Much of her work has been in Far North Queensland, often in remote locations, and she has also had the honour of supporting women in remote villages in Papua New Guinea with her charity work, along with work in Southeast Asia sharing emergency birth skills. These experiences have shaped a deep respect for women’s wisdom, the cultural depth of birth, and the life-changing journey into motherhood.
While she is currently taking a pause from attending births in person, Shelly continues to support mothers through live coaching, one-on-one connection, online guidance and education. Her work offers a nurturing space where women can feel supported, informed and empowered as they move through pregnancy, birth and early motherhood
Birth & Antenatal Classes
Shelly offers two holistic online pathways of support for women preparing for birth: The Confident Mother App and Birth Prep Coaching. They have been shaped by over a decade of birth work including her volunteer work with her charity. The Confident Mother App supports pregnancy, birth and postpartum through childbirth education, physical preparation and practical guidance, while Birth Prep Coaching offers personalised 1:1 and group support with Shelly for mothers wanting deeper preparation, encouragement and connection. Together, these offerings are designed to support the whole mother — body, mind, heart and practical preparation — through the transformation of pregnancy, birth and early motherhood.
Other Modalities
Shelly brings over a decade of experience supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum and pelvic healing. Her offerings include pregnancy and postnatal massage, pelvic alignment bodywork and internal pelvic release support, drawing on years of hands-on work, birth knowledge and a deep understanding of women’s bodies through times of change. Her work is especially supportive for women experiencing pelvic pain, discomfort, tension or imbalance, with sessions designed to create more ease, comfort and connection within the body and pelvic space. Shelly works in Gympie and Cairns, with occasional pop-up clinic offerings in other locations.
