Sonya has enjoyed caring for, and supporting families to birth in their homes for more than 18years, and home is where her heart is. She is passionate about the importance of a positive childbearing journey, and advocates for women and families being the centre of the decision-making process. Sonya values the partnership that grows with the families she cares for, with an emphasis on offering individualised, holistic care.

As a Medicare Eligible, Endorsed Midwife Sonya is able to order blood tests and ultrasounds as needed and is also a Cervical Screen provider. Sonya has extensive knowledge and experience in caring and supporting families through their journey from conception to early parenting and promotes holistic care through the integration of several complementary health practices into her care including Nutrition, Herbs, Reflexology, Hypnobirthing, Moxibustion, Bodywork and Spinning babies. In addition, Sonya works in partnership with other modalities such as Massage Therapy, Kinesiology, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Placental Encapsulation, Photographers and Doula Services to complement the family experience.

Sonya’s Nurture clinic is located in Toowoomba and offers care to families across Southeast Queensland within a 2-hour radius travelling through the Darling Downs, Granite Belt, Western Downs, South Burnett, Lockyer Valley, West Moreton and into Brisbane.
