I am a registered nurse and midwife. I trained in the UK and emigrated to Australia in 2008.
I have worked as a midwife for 24 years. I have recently become endorsed which means I can now provide Homebirth and Midwifery services in the Gympie area. My focus will be on empowerment and gentleness in the home setting for pregnancy, birth and postnatal care.
I also am a certified Thompson Method Breastfeeding Educator and have found The Thompson Method very useful in preventing nipple damage with a “hands off” approach from the midwife, gently empowering the mother to breastfeed using her own natural instincts.
