Lactation Consultant

The role of a Lactation Consultant is to support women and their babies throughout their breastfeeding journey which can range from pregnancy up until the child is 5 years of age. A Lactation Consultant is an expert in breastfeeding support and navigating deviations of normal, they also have the capacity to refer to specialists if needed. A Lactation Consultant does not require a midwifery or nursing background.
